I just came to think of a few thinks I want to jot down before I forget them:
I have been up in the worlds tallest (finished) building, Taipei 101. It was a total anti-climax. The difference between looking out over a city from a 100 meters up and 500 meters up isn't exactly big enough to create that wow feeling. Besides, the mountain top I spend more or less every night on (cheap food + hookah smoke) is elevated higher than Taipei 101 so it was a real blank.
They don't have liquorice candy here. No salty swedish fish, no penguin liquorice. NOTHING! I've checked every single store I've seen and the only thing I've found is some sort of japanese "rock salt candy" that tastes a bit like [swedish candy nobody except swedes can relate to] and this was in an expensive import store. Luckily I have a friend from Holland who will bring back some real liquorice.
